current event #4

A high school student waiting for a school bus in Methuen was struck and severely injured by a pickup truck that did not stop. Police are looking for what they describe as a “beat up” white pickup with an extended cab that struck the student at about 6:30 a.m. today. The victim was taken to a local hospital, and then flown to Boston Children’s Hospital. The student’s name was not made public but authorities described him as a boy of about 15. Police say a school bus was stopped to pick up students when the pickup truck ignored flashing red lights and passed the bus, striking the student.
A law is enforced for the safety of people. Regardless if you know all the laws or not there are just some that are plain logic. Even if by some chance a person did not know it is illegal to pass a bus while the students are boarding it, on the back of the bus it states the requirements you must follow when near one.also to have the audacity to continue to drive after injuring a minor is absolutely ridiculous. I hope they find the person who did this and put them away for a long time.
