Today in Emory University Hospital in Atlanta they are monitoring an American health care worker who may have contracted the deadly Ebola virus in West Africa. The hospital is one of 35 across the nation designated as an Ebola treatment center. The hospital said the patient arrived from an unnamed West African nation early today on a specially equipped Phoenix Air jet. Four of the 10 Ebola patients treated in the U.S. this year have been admitted to Emory at some point in their illness. The Ebola outbreak in West Africa, centered in Liberia, Guinea and Sierra Leone, has killed more than 6,000 people. Six Americans in the U.S. were treated from becoming infected while providing medical aid there. Two people have died of the disease in U.S. hospitals. Some people believe that the government brought Ebola into the United States on purpose. Although what's the point if there is a cure to the disease. Personally I am not worried about it, when and if Ebola spreads to Worcester then I will be worried. Hopefully they can find a way to prevent this disease from spreading any further than it already has.
